「Group2 II」is the second full-length album by Tokyo, Japan-based band, Group2 that was previously released on 9 September 2020 by P-VINE on a CD version. And this year「Group2 II」album will be reissued on a limited cassette version with Gerpfast Records and P-VINE. Included 9 tracks inside, Group2 crossed many elements and make their second full-length album have various tastes and will never make you bored to listen to it every day.

It's a beautiful and a joy wonderland that Group2 made for everyone, from Vaporware, Synth-Pop, Psychedelic, Emo, Indie-Pop, Lofi, and also Group2 still retaining their Shoegaze sound too. Group2 combines it all in a very sexy way and makes their own sound character. You can have it all in one album! A great album to have a chill day or just walk around the city at the night.

東京を拠点に活動する ”オルタナティブ・シティ・サイケバンド”。
2015年Miles Apart RecordsからカセットEPをリリースし、翌年、初の流通作品であるEP『Like A』をリリースし、2018年11月には初のフルアルバム『Group2』をリリースする。過去に「SYNCHRONICITY’17」や、「Shimokitazawa SOUND CRUISING2019」に出演。また、これまで、DJパーティ「New Action!」と共催企画「Coming Age」、No Buses、本日休演、VaVa等他ジャンルのアーティストが出演した主催企画「的(テキ)」、東阪で活動するインディーバンド5バンドによる共催企画「ZONE」などのイベントを企画し、独自の活動スタイルで着実にシーンを横断している。

本作は2020年9月2日にリリースされたGroup2の2ndフルアルバム。
シューゲイズ、エモ、サイケ、ヴェイパー・ウェイブのニュアンスを残しつつ、持ち味でもあるクールなヴォーカルとトロけるサウンドの際立つこの作品は、InterFM897「New Fire!!」、J-WAVE (81.3FM)「SONAR TRAX」にも選ばれるなど反響を呼び、
音楽評論家の岡村詩野やライターの柴崎祐二からも絶賛を受ける怪作となった。

No Buses,本日休演,VaVa等、様々なシーンからゲストを招き、自主企画「的(テキ)」を開催するなどバンドからヒップホップ、クラブシーンでも活躍するアクトとの交流も持ち、インディーズ・シーンを横断する音楽を発信し続けてきたオルタナティブ・シティ・サイケバンドGroup2の2nd Album。前作から引き続きシューゲイズ、エモ、サイケ、ヴェイパー・ウェイヴのニュアンスを残しつつ、Group2の持ち味でもあるクールなヴォーカルとトロけるサウンドの際立つ、前作以上の怪作が完成。Vo.ヤマグチフウカの独自の詞世界とシンセサウンド、そしてHelsinki Lambda Clubでも活動するGt.クマガイタイキのサイケデリックで色気のあるトーンとリフを中心に、生音と打ち込みをミックスしたリズムが生み出す特異なチルサイケ・ポップ！リードトラックの「Easy feat. BUGS」には福岡を中心に活動する話題のヒップホップ・グループ“週末CITY PLAY BOYZ”からゲストにBUGS氏を招いて異色のコラボを実現！また収録曲「Wonder」は、「New Music Wednesday」「Tokyo Rising」「Edge!」などのSpotify人気プレイリスト入りも果たし、話題となった。

アルバム・ジャケットは先行シングル「Wonder」から引き続き北川陽介(生活芸術) が手掛け、アルバム・トレイラーのディレクション、エディットを担当したTakahiro Iraminaは、「こみゅにけいしょん」として音楽活動も行っている。

Takes me back to my high school classroom during the days of binging Inio Asano's old manga scanlations before anything was licensed. At that time, I was discovering many kinds of Asian shoegaze, but I've never heard anything like this. Makes me think of Pasteboard, Supecar, and Midnight Pingpong a bit, and it's funny bc the first two I listen have blue album covers too. Lu
