Japan's idol scene is always fascinating to dig up, there are a lot of extraordinary underground projects if you dig it deeper. And it's not the kind of usual idol group that you always see in the major scope, this is more like bringing the magnificent nightmare and precious torment for the common people. When the pop goes dying and putrid, the big wall of noise takes the throne and spreads the new cult.

Candy Trip Cafe in Osaka took the responsibility to create one of these new cults, named STRANGE L∞P. Known as a heretical presence in the idol industry due to their aggressive musicality, STRANGE L∞P brought their bizarre idea and spread it to the world. The cult starts the ritual by whispering『半分人間』for 20 minutes, embracing an aggressive cultish Glitching-Harsh/Power-Electronic sound. For the first 10 minutes, the 4 saints of STRANGE L∞P will give the purification ambiance, before violently taking you to the deep abyss for the next 10 minutes by grinding the cult state of mind and stabbing an intense static abrasive noise.

I never liked the screaming vocals of black metal... HOWEVER, this album changed that. It's blackgaze with a touch of J-pop into it, and it's one of the most pleasent combination. The lyrics are disjointed and abstract but are meaningful, lots to deconstruct here. Sudis___
